The Tythe Barn Launton Wedding Flowers
Updated: Apr 6
One of the things I love most about creating wedding flowers is the people I get to meet and this lovely couple were no exception. Hannah and Edd chose the stunning Tythe Barn in Oxfordshire for their wedding celebrations and were keen to fill it with lots of beautiful blooms.
Even though it was an October wedding, they didn't want their flowers to be overly Autumn in colour or style, so opted for soft pink, peach and white to contrast against burgundy and green. I used absolutely gorgeous flowers, including vuvuzela roses, dahlias, lavender, scented stocks, mint and poppy seedheads.
Their wedding happened to take place three weeks after my son was born so I was lucky to be supported by fellow florists Rebecca and Cat who kindly gave their time to help with creating some of the arrangements.
Jars of flowers were used on the pew ends, then moved to the reception trestle tables. Milk churns filled with blooms and large hanging flower hearts provided statement pieces. The bride and bridesmaids wore floral crowns with waxflower and gypsophila in. Plus the men's buttonholes were as rustic as could be.
The Tythe Barn is a special venue which you can see in these stunning photos taken by Binky Nixon Photography.
Hannah and Edd left some very kind words for me following their wedding.
"Emma was amazing from start to finish, 5* is not enough!! She listened to my very generalised thoughts and had some great ideas to add. Even when things changed or there were a few challenges she was brilliant and at a venue that she hadn’t been to before. Emma works so hard, she had just had her beautiful baby boy and still came to my venue to deliver and set up my flowers a couple of weeks later. A talented florist and a lovely person too, thank you Emma."
